The suitable material for your use: Whether pre-coated high solid steel, micro alloyed multiphase steel, carbon steel (hardened and galvanized), stainless steel or designs with black surface.

A quick and secure filling of the spacer bar is relevant for an efficient production of the insulating glass frame compound. The thin-walled materials of the EK STEEL Connect straight connectors ensure optimum value and a smooth production process.

3 SIDE SEALING
Dust-tight application at the inner contour of the spacer to the inner space between the panes and the edgewise butyl shoulder. Optimal application of the connecting element for a form-fit and dense spacer connection. An outcome of desiccant dust or molecular sieve into the inner space of the panes gets avoided.
DURABLE SPACER CONNECTION /
To avoid an opening of the frame compound during handling the frame and to achieve a longer life cycle of the IG unit.
Especially for thin-walled spacers the demands of the connecting element are high. The middle seam increases the stability and the loading capacity of the frame compound.
Provide an optional connection for Georgian bars at the junction point. The middle selection is closed to prevent dust or molecular sieve material penetrating into the space between the panes. The slots permit a fastener (pin, screw) to be used to secure the Georgian bars while maintaining stability.
Ensures a strong grip of the connecting element and so a high load capacity of the junction point including large and heavy IG units.
To increase stability and for sealing the spacer back side. Adjusted to our connectors and delivered as one unit. The connector unit still can be filled efficiently with desiccant.
To achieve a gas-tight unit. Butyl is applied to the back plate of the straight connector. This provides a reliable seal along the spine of the profile and the adjacent side walls at the junction point.
To secure a strong grip within the spacer and avoid a pull out. When used with a straight connector the spring tongue grips into the perforation. With a corner or model key the tongue guarantees sealing and durable grip within the spacer.
Whether Polyamid (PA) with different fibre glass portion (M = medium, H = hard, XH = extra hard) or Polypropylen (PP, fogging-free), in particular for our press-on and screw-on end pieces – we choose the best material with highest quality.
For the grip within the perforation, ensure a durable hold of the straight connector, corner and model key, end piece and cross connector. Lamellas avoid a pull out and absorb tolerances of the spacer.
3 COLUMN BODY
The 3 column body of our cross connectors and end pieces ensures high stability and grip and enables universal use in Georgian bars Vienna (box profile) and numerous standard and warm edge spacers.
As a result of their bellows-type design, EK Georgian bar cross connectors provide a permanent grip between the panes and thus prevent movements and rattling in the installed units - without damaging the coating on the panes.
Just a light slide of the connector into the spacer as far as the second serration is fine. The rest is done by sliding on the second spacer bar. As a result of its shape, the connector always takes up the right position inside the spacer.
For all spacer bar widths, the EK connector ensures fast and efficient post-filling with molecular sieve and guarantees simply handling and secure processing. The geometry of our connectors has been optimised for ease of use: The serrated edges are designed to ensure that the connectors are easy to handle and can be inserted with little effort.
